ORDERING & DELIVERY
We currently deliver within approximately 50 km of our warehouse in Mernda, Victoria. If you’re not sure whether your address is within our delivery area, just contact us before ordering and we’ll confirm.
Yes. You’re welcome to collect from our warehouse by appointment – we’ll be in touch once your order is ready. Please make sure your vehicle has enough load capacity for a heavy steel product, and that it can be transported safely and lawfully.
Orders are usually processed within 3–5 business days. Once dispatched, local delivery is generally completed within 1–3 business days.
No. Because our products are large and heavy, delivery is made to the kerbside or ground-floor entrance only. We recommend having a second person on hand to help move and position it.
We make things that work better and last longer. Our products solve real problems with clean design and honest materials.
Please contact us as soon as you can. If your order hasn’t been dispatched yet, we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
We’re sometimes asked why our pieces sit at a premium. Here’s what your investment reflects:
High-quality steel, chosen for outdoor use and built to give you years of enjoyment when used and maintained correctly.
Our pieces are made from high-grade steel and finished with a protective, rust-inhibiting coating that helps resist and slow corrosion for a long time. That said, steel is a natural material and your piece lives outdoors – so over time, heat, weather, coastal sea spray and humidity will gradually change the look of the steel, and some surface patina or light rust is completely normal. This is an expected characteristic of the material, not a defect. The single most helpful thing you can do is avoid leaving stagnant water sitting in or on the piece.
No – and that’s part of the charm. Because steel is a natural material and each piece is individually made, slight variations in colour, finish and texture are normal and make every fire pit unique.
It depends on the model. Any required assembly instructions are included with your order.
Our products are manufactured for VERANDA by our trusted manufacturing partner, METALIT. You may see the METALIT mark on the product itself – this is completely normal and simply identifies the workshop that made it. Rest assured you’ve received a genuine item supplied by us.
INSTALLATION & SAFETY
Always on a stable, level, non-combustible surface such as concrete, pavers or gravel – and well clear of buildings, fences, trees, furniture and anything else that can catch fire.
We don’t recommend placing a fire pit directly on timber decking or other heat-sensitive surfaces unless an appropriate heat-resistant barrier is used.
Yes – our steel fire pits are designed for outdoor use. Exposure to the weather will naturally change the appearance of the steel over time (see our care tips below to keep it at its best).
FIRE RESTRICTIONS (VICTORIA)
No. Fire pits must never be used on Total Fire Ban days. You are responsible for complying with Victorian fire restrictions, local council requirements and all applicable laws before lighting a fire.
Please check the Country Fire Authority (CFA) website before using your fire pit, especially through the warmer months. Restrictions can change quickly with the weather.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
Let it cool completely after use, remove ash regularly, and keep it clean and dry where practical. A little natural weathering is expected and won’t affect how it performs.
Yes. Ash holds moisture, which can speed up corrosion if left sitting for long periods. Regular cleaning helps you get the most life out of your fire pit.
Your fire lives outdoors, so local conditions – coastal sea spray, inland humidity and condensation – will affect the steel over time, especially when it’s not in regular use. You can’t stop atmospheric corrosion entirely, but you can reduce its effects:
RETURNS & WARRANTY
VERANDA is a small, passion-driven business, and our pieces are made in limited batches. Because of this, we’re not able to offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind – so we’d genuinely rather help you get it right the first time. Please reach out with any questions before you order, and we’ll happily help you choose the perfect piece.
You’re fully protected by the Australian Consumer Law. If your product has a manufacturing fault or arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos, and we’ll arrange the appropriate remedy – repair, replacement or refund – as required.
Our team is always happy to help. Email us at support@theveranda.com.au and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
